MINA ROTH

Born in Turkey to a Turkish mother and American father, Mina’s no stranger to bridging together different worlds. Beginning her songwriting journey at the age of 8, Mina absorbed melodic and songwriting sensibilities from pop icons like Lorde, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry. She later began filtering that influence through a more raw / rock aesthetic inspired by the likes of Cage the Elephant, Briston Maroney, and Catfish and the Bottlemen. Moving to the US at the age of 14, Mina attended a songwriting focused boarding school, and eventually made her way to Nashville’s Belmont University, where after a year of school, she decided she was better off jumping into the deep end of songwriting in the real world.Mina sings what’s sometimes too difficult to say, weaving her words through confessional and emotionally gripping indie-rock/indie-folk Mina is now based in Charleston SC, and has been garnering attention and success from recent releases. Mina’s Debut EP “Faultline” is out now.
